Position Summary

The Operations Specialist / Show Manager / Show Caller is responsible for ensuring performances run safely, smoothly, and on schedule. This position oversees all practical and artistic aspects of rehearsals and shows, ensuring performers and crew operating as per the show & operational scripts. They manage the physical stage area and oversee the quality of technical elements such as lighting, sound, props, and scenery. This personnel works closely with the director/choreographer/production team/operational team to deliver top-quality performances according to show standards. Additionally, they handle artist allocation for signature shows, operational budgets, staffing plans, and overall show calling responsibilities for Kiss of The Sea show.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of stage management and show operations, including rehearsals and live performances.
  • Schedule rehearsal times and ensure timely attendance of all artists and operational staff.
  • Contingency planning and execution, resolve operational issues and emergencies.
  • Oversee smooth operation of backstage and onstage areas before, during, and after performances.
  • Manage performer entrances during shows.
  • Ensure show calls are made accurately and on time.
  • Check backstage passes and enforce rules to maintain secure and clear backstage areas.
  • Ensure theatre compliance with current health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
  • Plan and prepare team operational budgets.
  • Training, assign work and oversee the work quality of seasonal staff.
  • Prepare show schedules and staffing plans/allocation, including artist allocation for signature shows.
  • Run, monitor, and call shows, especially for signature productions.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety, service, show quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Complete all required reporting (daily reports, corrective action/maintenance reports, incident reports, etc.).
  • Contribute to the development of SOPs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years experience in stage management of large-scale shows.
  • Strong show management skills, including:
    • Stage & artist & show operation elements
    • AVL knowledge
    • Pyrotechnics (highly preferred).
    • Financial planning
  • High proficiency in professional English.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
