Job Summary  

As a DevOps Engineer for the Platform teams, you will build and operate the cloud and on-premise foundations that power Sun Group’s AI-first E-Commerce and Digital Experience platforms. You’ll design reliable, secure, and observable infrastructure; enable fast, safe delivery through CI/CD and automation; and keep our systems healthy at scale - serving large user bases and high monthly transaction volumes across travel, hospitality, real estate, aviation, and entertainment. 

You will partner closely with Backend, Fullstack, Data/AI, and Security teams to deliver resilient, low-latency services with clear SLOs, robust security, and efficient cost profiles. 

Responsibilities 

- Operate Kubernetes on cloud/on-prem with IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Helm/Kustomize). 

- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; support blue-green/canary, rollback, artifact/versioning. 

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. 

- Implement observability; Lead incident response; Drive capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization. 

- Enforce security: RBAC, secrets, supply-chain scanning, WAF/CDN, rate limiting; Data Privacy Compliance 

- Implement backup/restore, DR with clear RTO/RPO, multi-AZ/region strategies. 

- Contribute to runbooks/playbooks, Architecture Decision Records (ADR), and continuously evolve platform best practices 

Qualifications 

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics/Telecom, or related fields. 

- 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or related engineering roles operating production systems at scale. 

- 3+ years building on public cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) or hybrid environments; Kubernetes production experience. 

- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform), config management (Ansible), containers (Docker) and Helm/Kustomize. 

- Familiarity GitOps and CI/CD tools like AzureDevops/GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI and ArgoCD/FluxCD. 

- Strong knowledge of Linux, networking (DNS, TLS, HTTP, TCP, load balancing), and platform security (RBAC, secrets, image scanning). 

- Hands-on with observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry). 

- Scripting/automation with Shell and one of Python/Go. 

- Familiarity with message queues/streams (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and managed data services (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis) from an ops perspective. 

- Experience operating 24/7 services, on-call rotations, and incident management. 

- Nice-to-have: service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), API Gateway, GPU workloads, cloud certifications.
