I. Position Summary

The Principal provides strategic leadership and overall management of Hotel Academy, ensuring excellence in vocational education, operational performance and talent development. The role is responsible for building an industry-leading hospitality academy that delivers high-quality education aligned with the evolving needs of Sun Group‘s hospitality and tourism businesses, while contributing to the development of skilled professionals for Vietnam‘s tourism industry.

II. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Lead the overall strategy, development and operations of Hotel Academy. Establish long-term objectives, institutional policies and annual business plans to ensure sustainable growth, operational excellence and alignment with Sun Group‘s business strategy.

Academic Leadership

Oversee academic quality, curriculum development, teaching standards and learning outcomes. Ensure programmes are industry-driven, competency-based and aligned with both Vietnamese regulations and international hospitality standards.

Industry & Employer Engagement

Develop strong partnerships with hotels, resorts, tourism organisations and education partners to enhance curriculum relevance, internship opportunities, graduate employability and institutional reputation.

Student Experience

Ensure an outstanding student journey from recruitment to graduation by overseeing admissions, student services, internships, career development and graduate employment.

People Leadership

Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing academic and administrative team. Foster a culture of professionalism, innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.

Operations & Governance

Ensure effective management of campus operations, finance, facilities, technology and compliance while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational efficiency.

Brand & Business Development

Represent Hotel Academy with government agencies, industry partners and the wider community. Strengthen the Academy‘s reputation, increase student enrolment and support the long-term development of the institution.

Qualifications

• Master‘s degree or above in Hospitality, Tourism, Education, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in hospitality, education or both, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven experience in academic leadership, organisational management and curriculum development.
• Experience in hospitality operations, vocational education or talent development is highly desirable.
• Experience in pre-opening, institutional development or large-scale education projects is an advantage.
